Prompt #51 of the 2020 Reading Challenge

The second week of December follows and I’m reading another one of the murder mysteries by Agatha Christie to finally complete my 2020 Murder Mystery Bingo Challenge.

Sorry for the late post ! This is the last Agatha Christie I’ll be reading this year, finally completing the Murder Mystery Bingo Challenge. πŸ˜… I’ll post the updated Bingo cards after I complete reading this book.

I must tell you beforehand though that, I don’t think I’ve managed to complete the Bingo even after reading so many murder mysteries this year.πŸ™ˆ So, the book I’m reading is:

Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie.

I selected this particular book because it’s been made into a movie starring Gal Gadot which was released this year. I wanted to read the book before watching it.

Also, it features the famous Hercule Poirot in the beautiful egyptian setting. It’s going to be an enchanting read. I’m excited !

About the book I read last, House of Earth and Blood (Crescent City #1) by Sarah J. Maas.

Reading a book by her is never a disappointment. What an amazing world 🀩! No wonder fantasy is my most preferred genre if I have such amazing books to read.πŸ˜…
The plot is long and complex but let me try summing it up:

Bryce Quinlan, the main character, is half-Fae, half-human in the world full of powerful beings like Shifters, Faes, Angels. In a world where humans are treated like nothing. She loses herself when her closest friends are killed and she sets out to find the person behind it. Hunt Athalar, an angel, slave to the Governor, is ordered to aid her and solve the case. As Bryce gets closer to the killer, even as she and hunt get closer to each other, she uncovers many truths, things that might do more harm than ever. As the events turn for the worse, still she fights selflessly to save the world by unleashing her true self. It’ll touch your heart in the right place and make you yearn for more😒 So, a crying alert !

It’s a story of power of friendship and love. It teaches us that without those, it’s not a life worth living. I definitely agree with what they say in the book – “Through love, all is possible.”

What are you reading currently ?

Let’s talk books !
