For this week, I’ve selected the following prompt from the 2020 Popsugar Reading Challenge –
A book about a book club.
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, The Bromance Book Club, The Bookish Life of Nina Hill are some of the best books that fit this prompt perfectly. But I’ve already read these books and so had to choose for another one. You can check out the goodreads list here. So, I’m reading:
The Jane Austen Book Club by Karen Joy Fowler.
The synopsis is very interesting as it tells the story of six people who meet to discuss Jane Austen and her works, their personal lives and their relationships. Also, I’m a huge fan of Jane Austen so reading this is going to be a lot more fun !π
About the book I read last week, The Silvered Serpents by Roshani Chokshi (The Gilded Wolves #2).

The story continues after Tristan dies, SΓ©verin and all the others feel guilty and that breaks apart the group. It was infuriating to see SΓ©verin make all the wrong choices and hide his plan to become a god. More infuriating was Laila not telling SΓ©verin about her impending doom. Most of the book I was going “Aarrgghhh !!”π
Atleast, the friendship between others was a constant.
The group do get back together again for a mission – finding the book which will give the power of a god and also save Laila, but in the end, when everything seems to be reaching to a conclusion, the book ends with a cliffhanger. Leaving the characters and the story hanging ! So, the long wait for the next book has already begunπͺ
It follows the same style as the first book, with multiple POVs and puzzles and ciphers which are just as interesting. It’s a great sequel which I enjoyed a lot ! π€©
