The third prompt which I’ve selected from the 2021 Popsugar Reading Challenge is –
A book with an oxymoron in the title.
An oxymoron is a phrase which combines two words which are complete opposites. Like, for example some of the phrases are: dark light or bittersweet. You can refer the goodreads list for book recommendations by clicking here. I’ve selected the following book:
The Gentlemen’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzie Lee.

An epic Europe tour set in the 18th century ! Monty decides on a one last hurrah with his best friend (Percy) before he has to settle down and take over his father’s estate. With his sister Felicity in tow, the tour turns into an escapade from pirates as well as his feelings for Percy, the boy he adores.
About the last book I read, The Guest List by Lucy Foley.
A high profile wedding on a forsaken island. Every person involved possesses a secret. Soon everything starts falling apart.
The story is spun beautifully making it a very engrossing read. I was immediately hooked and even though it was a bit slow (we don’t really get to the actual murder halfway through the book), I couldn’t stop reading. After first reading the synopsis, I’d expected it to resemble And Then There Were None, with the one-by-one-killing-of-guests. But it wasn’t like that so I want to clear that up in case you were wondering the same.
Still it was worth the read. Definitely pick it up if you’d like a good murder mystery sometime. Also, after finishing the book I realized that it wasn’t exactly a locked room mystery, the prompt for which I’d read this book. Unless you consider the whole island as a locked room cause no one was able to leave it anyway. That is how I decided to take it !
How is your reading challenge going ?
