Prompt #35 of the 2020 Reading Challenge

This week I’m reading another one of Agatha Christie’s books for my 2020 Murder Mystery Bingo Challenge.

So, I’m not exactly following any type of list to complete reading all of the books of Agatha Christie. Just choosing each one at random. This week’s book is the following :

Death in the Clouds by Agatha Christie.

It features the famous detective Hercule Poirot. As the name suggests, the story is about a murder committed in a flight. Anyone of the passengers could be the murderer and fortunately, Hercule Poirot is there to find that out.

Last week, I read Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine.

This was a surprising read. At first I had picked this book thinking that it was an usual contemporary, a rom-com with all the cute bits. But as soon as I had begun reading, I realised that it was so much different. Much more intense.

Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine which means she is not. She is alone and sad and it’s hard not to pity her. She’s had a tragic childhood and thus, she is not emotionally and socially stable. But she is just as funny and it was highly entertaining reading her thoughts. The story progresses as she discovers friendship and love and learns how to be happy.

I loved it so so much !!! It taught me so many things like how much a little kindness can make a difference, what it actually means to be lonely, how to be strong during hard times and more importantly the value of being happy. Definitely one of the best books I’ve read this year ! I’m so glad and relieved I didn’t miss this one. You shouldn’t either.

What are you reading currently ?
