For this week, I’ve selected the following prompt from the 2020 Popsugar Reading Challenge :
A book with a main character in their 20s.
So, I browsed the list for book recommendations for this particular prompt on Goodreads (the link is given here, if you would like some help too) and thus, found my next read:
Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine by Gail Honeyman.

I’ve read many great reviews of this book and it’s been highly recommended, so I’m excited to start it. Nothing much to gleam from its synopsis, but it’s a contemporary so I’m guessing it’s the usual rom-com stuff.
Now, about the book I read during last week, Ready Player One by Earnest Cline. Oh gosh! I absolutely loved it !
What a geeky book ! I don’t usually read science fiction or videogaming books so this was a change. I started this one reluctantly, thinking that I would have to trudge through it somehow. But as soon as I began reading, I realized how wrong I was. The story just pulled me in and I didn’t even realise when I had completed almost half of it in one go. The thrill of the quest and excitement of solving the clues, it all drew me in. All the references to the numerous video games and movies and books and authors, only helped in increasing my anticipation !π
The end was a little predictable because we all obviously root for the hero to win against the bad guys. (which is just natural) Still I was really happy after having read the book. A definite recommendation to all the nerds and geeks who obsess over music or movies or books, not to forget, love videogames or have a special interest in solving clues and puzzles to win a quest. The competitiveness will definitely get to you !
