Prompt #31 of the 2020 Reading Challenge

This week’s prompt selected from the 2020 Popsugar Reading Challenge is:

A book featuring one of the seven deadly sins.

This prompt basically fits any book. So, I’ve selected the following book to read this week :

Godsgrave (Nevernight Chronicles #2) by Jay Kristoff.

I’d read the first book a few months back and since then, I had been really excited to read the next book. Now, I finally get a chance. The story of Mia’s revenge continues !

About the book I read last week – One hundred years of solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

This is the story of One hundred years of solitude of the Buendia family, told through many generations living in the town of Macondo. It has elements of magic and ghosts with the reality setting of wars and religion. The characters are all named the same, generation after generation, which reflects the repetition of history in many ways. I had to refer the family tree given at the start of the book, a lot of times, so as to not confuse one character with another.
This is a book, rich in details and character traits. It is recommended to read it solely and continuously because otherwise it is hard to keep track of the merging storylines. I am sure I’ll get it in a better light still after a second reading.

What are you reading currently ?

Tell me about it.
