Prompt #23 of the 2020 Reading Challenge

This week’s prompt, taken from the 2020 Popsugar Reading Challenge is the following :

A book published in the year 2020.

Although there are a lot of good books published this year and I have a whole shelf of specific TBR for this year’s publications, I have selected the following book to read this week :

The Switch by Beth O’Leary.

I absolutely loved the author’s other book, The Flatshare and so, since this book came out I’ve been really excited to read it. It’s a story about a grandmother and her granddaughter as they swap their lives to work things out. Leena settles in her grandma’s house in the country, while Eileen goes to London to find love and be young again. I just love the concept and I’m sure it’s going to be a great read !

About the book I read last week, Crooked House by Agatha Christie.

Although there was no poirot or miss marple, or any other recurring characters, I still enjoyed this book immensely. In the foreword, the author mentions that writing this book was pure pleasure. It’s the same even while reading it. Even till the end I had too many theories, none of which fit perfectly and when the truth was revealed, it seemed too simple. I couldn’t believe I missed it.
A definite recommendation for any mystery lovers !

What are you reading currently ?

Tell me about it.
