For this week, I’ve selected a prompt from the 2020 Popsugar Reading Challenge:
A book by an author with flora / fauna in their name.
Firstly, about the book I read last week, The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood. I couldn’t have selected a better read for Women’s day and it was quite spectacular. I’ve never before read any science fiction, but after this, I’m definitely going to read more of it. As for my review of the book itself, you may read it on my goodreads page.
Now, about the prompt this week : A book by an author with flora / fauna in their name. It’s quite simple actually, the first or last name of the author should be related to either a flower or plant or an animal or bird. I’m not quite sure about the inclusion of birds in fauna, but it broadens the search criteria, so I’ve included it.
After some browsing, I’ve decided to read the following book this week:
The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins.

It’s a psychological thriller novel by British author Paula HawkinsΒ thatΒ gives narratives from three different women about relationship troubles and binge drinking. I’ve had this book on my TBR since it came out in 2015 and I’ve always wanted to read it. I’d read so many great reviews on it and now, it’s also been made into a movie. So, I’m really excited for this !
I hope you are enjoying the prompts and these have been helpful in suggesting quite a lot of good books for you to read.
Have you read the book I’m reading this week ? How was it ?
What are you reading currently ?
Tell me about it.
